WINDOWS 8 SHOULD BE AVAILABLE IN OCTOBER

Bloomberg reports that Windows 8 could be ready for prime time by October. A consumer preview of the OS is already available for download.

SHARP UNVEILS RW-T110 ANDROID TABLET IN JAPAN

Sharp has unveiled a new 10 inch tablet in Japan. The Sharp RW-T110 has a 10.1 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels. It is powered by a 1GHz TI OMAP 4430 dual core processor. The tablet runs the dated Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and that is kind of disappointing because the Android 4.0 is already available.


The Sharp RW-T110 has also got 8GB of storage and a 6240mAh battery.

SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 2 (10.1) HITS THE FCC WEBSITE

A new Samsung tablet has hit the FCC. Word is that it is the Galaxy tab 2 (10.1) and that seems plausible because Samsung’s other ten inch tablets have already hit the FCC website. Few details are available at the FCC website, but the tablet seems to bear the label Samsung GT-P5110. It has also got WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 + EDR.
